Rachel Fletcher of Knox Upholstery
Rachel Fletcher owns Knox Upholstery in Knoxville, Tennessee. With a bachelor's degree in communications from Millikin University, her career before upholstery included marketing, advertising and promotional events. Rachel learned how to upholster while working as a theatrical Props Assistant at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.. After falling in love with the trade she began her upholstery business out of her home in 2010.
Rachel was asked to give a class at the Custom Workroom Conference this September in Concord, North Carolina. After submitting a few class proposals she was selected to give two classes. One class will cover the upholstering of a wingback chair, while the other is a social media class focusing on Instagram and photography.

January 2019 - Rachel Fletcher, has been selected to teach 2 masterclasses at the Custom Workroom Conference in September 2019. In addition to the classes she will take part in a symposium before the event with other Master’s of the upholstery trade.

In 2016, Rachel was commissioned to upholster several Nick At Nite, SNICK, Couches For Nickelodeon
In 2013, Rachel was surprised to find her photo on the front page of the New Sentinel while paying for some gas at the local Pilot, with a subsequent article detailing her work and her photography. You can find the link here
In 2012, Rachel was sought out by a Design Producer at Extreme Makeover Home Edition to produce numerous upholstered items for the show while shooting in Knoxville, Tennessee
